ASP 第4戦 Billabong Pro J-Bayが、7月14日から今日まで南アフリカにて開催されておりました。
ビード・ダービッジも、今までの成績を顧みて今大会にはかなりの意気込みでの臨んでおりました。
It would also be nice to win an opening round heat – I haven’t done it yet this year. Wave selection let me down in the last event, but I’ve always had the belief I could fight back in round two, and fortunately, that has happened.
The plan is to get on a roll from here … and get in few of those Supertubes shacks as well! Here’s hoping.

ラウンド5でJordy Smithとの対戦で残念ながら敗れてしまいました。
此の後勢いにのりJordy Smithは、優勝しました。

これで、J-Bayは9位フィニッシュとなり現在総合ランキング8位です。
だんだん調子が上がってきてますので、これからでしょう。
